Joey Black & others will be performing!!!
I was at Franky Fernando’s house the other day to toss the old pigskin around in preparation for his family’s annuall day after Christmas football game. After our brush with football mediocrity in the field across the street from his house, we went back inside to roll one up so we could burn one down. His lovely fiance Allison was looking after little Mack & doing some luandry when I heard her say to Franky “Where’s the other sock that goes with this one?!?” It was then that I realized that I was not alone in the Universe!!! And the idea for this collumn was born!
For years now, I told her, my wife, son, & I had been losing halves of pairs of socks with no plausible explanation. We have several lone rangers in the sock drawers…( & YES I JUST PLURALIZED LONE RANGER!!!)Nike socks that don’t match eachother…striped socks with no twins…It’s anarchy! We figured it was simply a strange phenomenon, exclusive to our washer & dryer. Or…our dogs were hiding them…
After mulling this over with the Fernando’s I decided to do more research. I quickly ruled out dogs because Franky doesn’t have one. Maybe it’s been our cat all along. They have a cat. Or…There’s the lint trey to collect lint. Is there perhaps an unknown ’sock’ trey to catch…socks? And if so, why is it catching them? Where would they go otherwise?

My two favorite things on TV? Metalocolypse cartoons & football… but tonight?…Footy ball first… The F’ing Cowboys just about had me drink myself into oblivian yesterday with that putrid performance against San Diego… 20-17 loss. One huge positive were the excellent ribs! Thanks Sherrey! At least you can say that these last two games have NOT been Romo’s fault. And… if they could shock the world & beat the Saints in N.O. then I’d be able to forget these ;ast two loses. I’m rooting for it… not betting on it.
Man, I just got through watching the 49ers handle the Cardinals 24-9 on MNF. The Cardinals had 7 turnovers…
Every time they went on offense all I could think of was Andy Samberg’s “I threw it on the GROUND” SNL video… it’s Hilarious ENJOY!!!!!
I mean, really, that’s what the Card’s running backs did with the damn football… they put it on the GROUND… And Warner looked like he thought AZ were wearing their red jerseys…the way he kept throwin’ it to the 49ers…
Anyway, bummer about Colt not getting the Hiesman but… remember… Matt Lienert beat out Vince Young for the Hiesman right before the Horns beat USC for the National Championship. I’m hoping history repeats itself! Hook’em Horns!

We’ve been out of the public eye more lately… as Dethclok would put it “just bein’ regular jack offs…” I’m still lookin’ for a “joe” job to go along with being a first rate entertainer in the world’s greatest bluesfolks music band. Kunkle Whitebread’s been puttin’ together scratch workin’ as a bar-back/cook at a certain live music establishment that, for the purposes of this blog, shall remain nameless.
Mr. Nate is makin’ samiches for dough. Hmm… maybe he’ll finally eat a sandwich. I’ve been tellin’ him to do that for a while… Uh… Franky & the family are doing awesome! I think Brak has been stayin’ further towards the straight & narrow. One can only presume due to a certain cool new lady friend… but that is unsubstantiated…
I’ve been slowly workin’ my way through HBO’s Rock N Roll Hall of Fame concert on my dvr. Bonnie Raitt’s performance with Crosby, Stills, & Nash is incredible. If I could find it on youtube you be watching it right meow. Football season throwin’ The WoodGrain for a loop lately. But don’t tell me the time should have been run out on Texas. The ball bounced out of bounds with clearly a second left on the clock. They dodged a bullet. Hook’em Horns! Let’s hope the Cowboys get their shite together and beat the Chargers & the Horns figure out how to beat ‘Bama!!!
